PRESS
The press is the act of pushing an object or yourself away from your body, which is a fundamental movement pattern. In a gym setting, it is most commonly recognized as the bench press or overhead press, along with their many variations. In its simplest form, such an action is referred to as the push-up. This basic human movement plays an essential role in helping individuals rise off the ground from a prone position, lying flat on their stomachs. Mastering the push-up is not just beneficial but also crucial, as being proficient at it is a valuable skill that should be maintained throughout one's life. Although it may appear simple at first glance, achieving proficiency is not necessarily easy. With the right guidance and proper training, individuals should be able to perform real push-ups effectively within a timeframe of less than six months to a year of consistent practice, regardless of age or gender. Once you acquire this important skill, it becomes a lifelong exercise that should be trained at least twice a week in some form, for the rest of your life.
