Pull
Pulling is the act of pulling an object or even yourself closer towards your body. In a typical gym setting, this action is commonly represented through exercises such as Rows or Pull-ups, and their many different variations. In its simplest and most foundational form, pulling is recognized as the pull-up exercise. The ability to pull yourself up to a higher position is considered a basic human movement that individuals should aim to become very proficient at over time. Now, I’m not specifically talking about the traditional pull-ups with your feet dangling off the ground (which can be quite challenging, even for the biggest and strongest individuals), but rather, I’m referring to the ability to pull yourself upward while your feet remain on the ground, using a handle or rope of some sort. This is a valuable skill you definitely want to acquire because it could potentially save your life in a critical situation one day. Once you have successfully acquired this essential skill, it is important to continue to train this movement consistently, ideally at least twice a week, throughout the rest of your life.
